Special Effects Make-up

I have a lot of beauty and fashion work in my portfolio, but I also do special effects!

This is one of my special effects pictures that often raises a smile, a lot of people ask me how it's done. It was quite simple to achieve.

I applied spirit gum to the area where I wanted the hole and then applied a marble sized amount of pro wax blending it into the skin. I used make-up around the wound to give it a sore look. I used the rubber side of the pencil to create a well in the pro wax before filling it with fake blood. I then pushed half a pencil (making sure there were no sharp edges) into to the wax.

It took only 10 minutes but it certainly grabs attention.
